I just love it when leftists, like college professors, say things like: communism has "never been done right", or Marx was misunderstood, interpretation of Engles was wrong, etc.. Communsim has been tried so many times and it has resulted in absolute disaster EVERY EFFIN TIME! Not one, not a single state, that has gone communist has gone untouched by genocide or economic disaster. I guess Venezuela is about to find out the hard way.

OTOH, the last two Republican presidents before George W. Bush were the first to actually make more countries go democratic than fall to communism since WWII.
