This business of selecting between "murder" and "idolotry" is BS - unless you are into the issue of "abortion" vs. "infanticide".

Then the dichotomy is clear since "infanticide" was used to a great deal in "idolotry" in the Middle-East back in Classical times.

This gives us Spurgeon selecting abortion (murder) over infanticide (idolotry), and that is the very same choice your typical modern Liberal and Democrat makes. The European leadership elites also make that choice.

Those of us who not draw the distinction between "lawful homicide" and "unlawful homicide", seeing them both as homicide, and where performed on the innocent, murder, have to reject all the teachings of people like Spurgeon because they are highly suspect (and also obviously very wordy and hard to read.)

Did you even bother to try and understand the points that Spurgeon did an excellent job of making?
