I wonder how many other cases of planted drugs never even come to light, with the victim being forced to serve out a draconian sentence for something he didn't do.

All five deputies were sentenced to prison for their role in the scheme, which involved planting drugs on suspects, stealing money from people under arrest and lying. The men were part of an elite drug- fighting group called the Delta Task Force and prosecutors said their scheme lasted from 1995 to 1999.

Do you happen to know how these "scum bags" were caught?

This kind of stuff is any person's worst nightmare, but one I've had actual nightmares over as a result of a storyline on a "Twilight Zone" years ago. I just can't imagine the pain of not being believed by one's own family.

I hope she winds up suing everyone involved, and ultimately receiving enough of the money after lawyer's fees, to compensate for this totally lousy experience.....as if there were ever enough money to cover that.

This is a horrible viscious scheme. $3 million is not enough to compensate her. One of the worst things to come of this is that many real hardened criminals are now going to be released from jail, because the evidence that these cops provided over the years is now worthless.

I get sick to my stomach when I read stories about police corruption. This is one of the worst things a government can do to it's people. I'd give these cops 20+ years.

Seems to me that the name they chose for their little ninja squad should have been a big, red warning flag. "Delta Task Force" ?!?!?!?
