It is commonplace to assume that toppling the Taliban will free Afghan women. But in an unstable country where soldiers celebrate conquest by raping, women have to protect themselves to remain free. Afghan women need to exercise the right of self-defense, including gun ownership.

Good one! Of course, now we won't be able to stop:

Mossbergs for Moms

Guns for Girls

Glocks for Gals

Firearms for Fillies

or a "reverse buy back program" -- Burqa's for Barettas

And we can kick it off with MMM -- a "Muslim Mom March!"

They are looking for a new Constitution to govern the country. I suggest a CLOSE copy of the U.S. of A. Constitution with its attendant amendments. Including the second.

The UN was said to have patterned its charter after the U.S. of A.; however, its charter is more like that of Soviet Russia. Naturally, the UN will do all in its power to install a repressive government, submissive to the UN.

As far as Afghan adopting a CLOSE copy of the U.S. Constitution, that won't work. The Founding Fathers said that our Republic would be entirely unsuitable for any other country. The FF believed in limited government and believed that limited government worked best when the people governed themselves ACCORDING TO the Holy Bible. Therefore, and unfortunately, the U.S. Constitution would be wholly unsuitable for a nation of Muslims. If, however, the Mussies all converted (voluntarily) to Christianity, then a close copy of the U.S. Constitution would be in order. miss print

" governed themselves ACCORDING TO the Holy Bible"

MP, I think{?} they mentioned "men of integrity and moral character", though they did mostly hold to the Bible. But, as the writings go, "Do unto others as you would have others do unto you", "Do not unto others those things which you despise." {Moslem version}, or as the Elder Hillel said about 34 yrs. before Jesus' birth, "Do not unto your fellow man those things which you yourself loathe." All wrote that this is the very foundation of their religions {In Jesus' case, I understand he said this to a questioning student who asked , "Rabbi, how do we achieve the kingdom of heaven?" [my paraphrase]} But, there are people of ALL religions, and even some athiests who treat others so, and, IMHO, these are the "men" of whom the Founding Fathers wrote and spoke. For them and those of us who would have government "LEAVE US ALONE!!!", the Constitution is as I wrote on another thread, is, IMHO, "The More Perfect Compromise". Only tyrants petty and great {anarchists - socialists} would disagree. Peace and love, George.
