You have done a good job. Paul touches on this subject heavily in Romans and Galatians:

Ga 2:16 Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the aith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.

Nobody can be saved by the Law, and nobody can live up to the Law, only through Christ are we saved.

In addition, Yashua advises us that to love Him and follow Him, we should be showing through our works:

John 14:12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.

14:13 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

14:14 If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.

14:15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.

14:21 He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.

This says it all.

Finally a well balanced scriptural answer. Don't forget these: "What does it profit my brethren if a man says he has faith but has not works? Can his faith save him?...Faith by itself if it has no works is dead." James 2:14, 17
