It's not about a card. It's about a file. The National ID creates a central, all inclusive file, for each individual in a central database.

We already have National I.D. cards- - -they're called Social Security Cards.You're right and unless they can do a better job of preventing fake or fraudulent national ID cards than they presently do with SS cards we won't be much further ahead.
