Have you ever read any of his books? I suggest you read his book of short stories which includes one about him sitting through the trial of the man who murdered his daughter, Dominique Dunne, the teenage girl from Poltergeist.

I am aware of his family history, and the murder of his daughter, and yes, I've read two of his books...Season in Purgatory, Two Mrs Grenvilles,and they were amusing diversions, but not brilliant, and he's never shown anything that warrants your adulation.By all means, you continue to enjoy him, but I still think he's a middle rate scribbler who lacks judgement and wisdom.
