It will be lost on most FReepers--who're too young to remember--that the OLDER Kennedy Bros. in their heyday--the early- to mid-60s--were politically right of center. Today, they'd be ideological Republicans.

Ted Kennedy himself didn't turn "lib" until after Bobby's death. His handlers convinced him he "owed it" to his dead brothers' legacies to embrace the "civil rights" movement which grew into the obscenity that we know today, taking all those people with it.

You recall it wrong. Bobby mostly went after the NY mafia and left the others alone. This had more to do with backstage payoffs that justice.If he had been interested in justice,he could have investigated election fraud during the Nixon/Kennedy race. Especially stuff like buying off delegates in Chicago,West Virginia,and Texas.
