Tuco, you actually got something right.

Congratulations. Ring-aling-a-ding-ding.

And Buck Compton (Easy Co. 506 Reg. 101st Airborne, hero of Bastogne)was the Prosecutor.

Today, they're turning the Ambassador Hotel into a school.

"Bush has lost me over this one"

We will just move you over to the Dem column. They seem to fly off the handle at anything as well. Have fun voting for Hillary or Nader or Brown or whatever nutbag choses to run in 2004.

Thomas E. Dewey, generally considered a liberal Republican in his day, said he was not trying to "outpromise" the Democrats, when conservatives accused him of running a "me-too" campaign against HST in 1948. Dewey said he could never "outpromise a Democrat if {he} tried, because a Democrat will promise anything to anybody to get a vote." Now we see "W" trying to disprove Dewey. He will promise a Democrat anything to get that Democrat to say something "nice" about him, even when he has a supposedly 87-90 percent "approval rating." But will the Kennedys reply in kind? Is "W" aware that RFK may have been involved in the "murder" of Marilyn Monroe? Does "W" know that Rep. Tim Roemer is the son-in-law of former LA Democrat Senator J. Bennett Johnston, Jr., a long-time Kennedy admirer (and I presume a powerful lobbyist in DC)? Why does "W" feel such an overwhelming urge to "do something" for the Kennedys? How many of Bush's court appointees has EMK supported? Who else might the Justice Department building be named? What about the first attorney general -- Governor Edmund Randolph of Virginia? I still say Ed Meese is the best attorney general in the history of the United States. So what Democrat in the future would name a building for Ed Meese?

Who was responsible for the discrediting of J. Edgar Hoover? Isn't it also true that the decline of the FBI began as soon as Hoover died? The agency has not been known for particular excellence since that time -- to put it blandly.

I just thought of the answer to one of my questions. The reason "W" (Yes, I voted the entire Republican ticket in 2000; so don't question my Republicansism.) wants to honor a Kennedy is that he has bought into the liberal concept of "collective guilt." "W" feels heartsick that two Kennedys were assassinated; so he has found this way to honor RFK. Perhaps he can go into the MD gubernatorial race next year and campaign for Kathleen Kennedy Townsend. Ask Bret Schundler and Mark Earley how they would feel about "W" helping Kathleen?

If there is a actual stragegery at work here,I surely can't see it. Other than appeaement, that is. It is apparant that Bush-2 is scared to death of these people.

Apparently you've never 'won friends' or 'influenced people'. Its elementary that anyone who is someone go through life with people owing him rather than the other way around. Thats one key to success. Small things mean big things to some people.

"W" is telling EMK that he wants him to head the "Democrats for Bush" campaign in 2004? EMK is jokingly saying, with a Republican like you in the White House, Mr. President, who needs a Democrat? "But I'm still voting Democrat."

Re: RFK being a victim of Muslim Terrorism Excellent point, and one that needed to be made here. I don't like the Kennedys much either, but 3 of their sons did give their lives for this country.

"Robert Kennedy went after his family's enemies...and left their mob friends alone."

Amusing in a sad sort of way when you remember those who said that the Mafia killed JFK because they were so mad at the Kennedy brothers for coming after them so hard.

not during that time either, Hoover was the pioneer of secret files which we can't bash the clintons for the use of and give hoover a pass. hoover may have focused on the leftists, but what he did was anti-american. besides, he had the dirt on the kennedys and since he had he should have used it when it could have put those low-lives out of business and we wouldn't be cursed by them to this day.
