Funny how the author takes the greatest find in biblical archaeology, the find that destroyed the argument that the biblical texts we have today are unreliable and corrupted, and then spins the significance into phrases such as "They have revealed little to shake the foundations of either Judaism or Christianity"

Actually, the fact that it doesn't shake the foundations of traditional Judaism or Christianity, means precisely that it does shake the foundations of what passes for theology among religious liberals. Those worthies commonly assert that the interpretations of the Old Testament (in this case) were colored by later European biases.

The parable about the houses built on stone and sand springs to mind here.....
