Has anyone brought up the subject of terrorism using directional EMP weapons? I don't have time now to do a good search for a refresher on the symptoms of an EMP-attacked plane, but I did have this in my files:

Please see my above post. If terrorists in the USA had this capability, we probably wouldn't hear about it unless they were caught with weapon in hand. This kind of news would bring the airline industry to a complete screeching halt.

Anyone know right off hand what the symptoms would be if a plane were targeted by a directional EMP weapon?

I've read a little about this. A re-directed microwave transmitter may be able to do what you're suggesting. I have a littany of ideas that the bad guys could use that are as effective and easier to deploy. I sent a note to the Feds but they seem to have "everything under control."
