Anyone who's ever lived near an airport knows that there are certainly flight patterns for take off and landing.
Was 587's pattern unusual?
I've spent THOUSANDS of hours watching take-offs and landings from JFK, having grown up in Brooklyn, and spending summers on the beaches of Coney Island, Brighton Beach and the Rockaways themselves.
That flight path IS TOTALLY NORMAL.
My friends in the Rockaways are intimate with the sound of almost every aircraft you can think of, and knew the Concorde's schedule cold.
This was simply the damnedest coincidence imaginable. And I was predisposed toward a TWA 800 shoot-down scenario.
