I heard on the radio that there is a town in New Jersey that is resurrecting the old civil defense force they had 60 years ago during the war. At least they are trying to. They will train civies to take patrol walks, look for anything suspect, etc... Sounds like a plan. Maybe the ex-FBI types could help with the training.
