Heard that on the Wolf Blitzer show. He said there was some sort of behavior problem on the plane.

What benifit do we have now to cover up or take part in an airline crash?

Save the airline industry and US economy.

Accomplices? In what? Pataki is probably wrong about this, but the information is not all out yet. This crash just happened this morning. We will see what happened as the facts develop.

What is wrong with you that you are so determined, before knowing the facts, that it had to be one particular cause and that you know it before any investigation? Why do you want this to be an attack so badly? What is your problem?

EVERY Cell phone is a potential radio activated detonator, it would be rather simple to rig up.

Maybe, but you'd sure hate to get a wrong number.

Yor right, it was the terrorist. they had to hit the neighborhood because it was a target. this was a plain crash, not unlike the ones we have every year. no one ever knows what heppened only hours after it occurs, there is always conflicting stories. as for the plane being diverted in pittsburgh or wherever, its a seperate plane.

I haven't heard anything about a distress call. Is it possible there was one?

You have a point on saving the airline industry but i dont think you can relate it to being a terrorist attack.

Secondly -- and this is certainly tin foil stuff -- but is it possible that the people who thought they saw fuel being dumped down from the plane may actually have seen something like tracers going up from a modern, high-speed Gatling gun? (Since nobody would have _expected_ to see any such thing, they may have mis-interpreted what they saw. From what I've read, modern versions of such "low tech" weapons are capable of literally "cutting off" an engine or piece of wing.)

Uh, fuel would appear to be a white mist. Tracers from a Gatling gun would be a glowing arc. Very different.

Actually, you are right. There is no way to determine if this was an attack, but an explosion, definitely.

What are the odds that a pilot would dump his fuel and NOT decide to inform the tower of his decision?

OK. Try this on for size: The mechnical failure involved an electrical problem, making it impossible for the pilot to contact the tower.

The other thing I'd say is that at this point, all the details of the pre-crash events are not knowns. This lack of details is no reason to go into a "conspiracy theory" frenzy.

FWIW, up to now, it seems most of the risk applies to jets that go within 500 miles of NYC.....

Please write on the blackboard fifty times:

"I will try hard not to say stupid things."
"I will try hard not to say stupid things."
"I will try hard not to say stupid things."
"I will try hard not to say stupid things."

Thanks for playing. Pick up your turtle wax on your way out. Although your attempt to post using half a brain was an entertaining experiment, it unfortunately failed. Do not try this again.

"eyewitness accounts clearly state that the right wing of the plane was seen to explode and take out the tail."

Catastrophic engine failure would appear to be an explosion...and could separate the right wing, which could take off the stabilizer.

The wing is also a fuel tank, meaning that a separation of the wing would simulate a "fuel dump". Unplanned...

Sorry, I don't answer to newbies.

Dumping fuel would be the first response to any onboard emergency.

A fully fueled plane can't land safely with all the fuel on-board. Too heavy.

A guy with a Tinfoil hat on told me that he got a telepathic message from Ross Perot.

The message was with regards to this fuel dump. Apparently, if you're a conspiracy nut, you're not supposed to pay attention to the evidence. The fuel dump information is a ruse to throw you off the scent of the real killer.

The real killer was on the grassy knoll with a missile launcher. The CIA and the mobsters hired him to shoot down this plane, but it wasn't because they wanted to shoot down the plane.

It was done to distract attention away from Ross Perot and his escape to the planet Uranus, where he will begin the process of preparing for his next presidential run.

Make sure that you're wearing your tinfoil hat. Ross will be sending you a message very soon.

Tracers from a Gatling gun would be a glowing arc.

This is during the day we're talking about. And a glittering mist in sunlight _could_ look like a glow...

What are the odds that a pilot would dump his fuel and NOT decide to inform the tower of his decision?

Quite likely actually. They could have been struggling to keep the aircraft flying. The old saying goes "Aviate, then communicate."
