Interesting that AP left out the 1979 Memorial Day weekend crash of a DC-10 taking off from Chicago O'Hare in which the engine fell off.

They stopped after 20 years.

Yep, probably for a reason. AP also missed a 1982 crash from New Orleans. That is within their 20 year window.
