A WAG is a 'wild assed guess.' There have been a number of old/ancient structures identified that show a peculiar astronomical alignment, most have been associated with a period about 15.5k years ago. That's probably where I got that date. Now, about an old Sphinx, go here to see an update by the leading characters of that theory.

We have caveman stuff from 30,000 B.C. but we have no evidence of anything resembling civilization from that period. These very early structures do seem to be solstice aligned, an interesting coincidence if that's what it was.

So are you saying that around 15.5k years ago, a new Adam was created. . .or arose. . .or evolved?

I think the article was intended for people familiar with archaelogical politics. What he was saying was lost on me.

You pressed me for an Adam date and I threw out a WAG at 15.5k years. I don't know 'squat' about Adam. I think the most exciting thing going on in archaeology/anthropology is this:
