Simply stated, I have never heard a better speech. 24 ovations, 10 STANDING "O"'s!!! The Florida fight was certainly worth it. That was the first time I have EVER heard the Blonde cheer out loud during a speech!

Pres. Bush definitely looks more relaxed, more focused, more purposeful, like he's actually talking to someone in a living room, when he gives a speech nowadays. No sing-song lecture-speak like UOx42. And you can tell that when W. hears the roars of the standing O's, he's taking it as agreement with what he said and not confusing it with adulation of him...

Did anyone just see the press conference with President Bush and the Prime Minister of India? He absolutely shut down the rude reporters!! They tried to interrupt and shout and he twice said "Excuse me!" and gave them the dreaded LOOK (the one that reminds me of my dad when I was doing something really awful). HA!

India will be working with us on cyber-terrorism. That is an interesting development.

Also, the PM looks to be rather elderly and the President was very protective of him. A nice touch from a good man.

Fox News just showed the F-16's from The Enterprise arriving at Virginia Beach, flying in formation...there must have been about 20 of them. Way cool looking.

I found myself looking at W's facial reactions - something I guess I learned with the last President, because you could tell when he was trying to put one over that way - during the ovations.

Each time I could see a quiet Christian humility. Accepting the thank you, being overwhelmed by it all, but really feeling that it wasn't he who should be the object of the adolation, but others.

It was all very refreshing. And a sign the man realizes that it is not he at the center of it all, but that there is guidance from something, someone, and a Being that is much larger. Wonderful!

The Blonde and I were comparing GW with UOx42, since they played some clips of his speech also. I couldn't get over UOx42's speech. Not the words, but his own speech patterns. He almost (?) looked like he was drunk! Slurred words and just rambling on. Pitiful. He's got bags under his eyes that are absolutely huge! As the saying goes, "He looks like he's been rode hard and put away wet!"

Question: Why in the world did Bill O'Reilly have that young jerk on his program last night? This guy was a junior at some eastern college (don't remember which) and all he did was make himself look stupid with his "Kumbaya" approach to the whole thing. I was really surprised that O'Reilly would waste his time with this idiot. He might at least have gotten somebody with some sense.

I FINALLY figured out HOW to book mark the bump list get to the *atrw threads...phewwwwwww

First of all here is the link to the FR BUMP LIST Bump-list

Now, what I did was, first I copied the URL bump list, then hit the "BOOKMARK" tag at the bottom of this thread...The window will show the name of this thread in one box, and the URL for this thread in another one right below it. I pasted the URL for the Bump list in the bottom box and Named it BUMP list. Then clicked on ADD.

Now all you need to do is go to your profile page, click on the bookmark, and look for *ATRW. Pretty neat!!!

I figure that once the NA gets a little ways into the city, The Talibum troops will do what the Afghan armies have done for centuries. They'll simply join the other side. Mom is doing as well as can be expected..she more or less has taken herself off of her diet. We went to the eye dr last week and he said she is starting to get some blood specks behind her eyes with the diabetes..but it doesn't seem to register to her at all.

Maybe the time spent with my sisters the week of T-giving will boost her spirits a little and they give her a few pep talks...we'll see.
