Hey, were you in that area in September of ’62? The night of the Ole Miss riot? I was there! Wow, what a show! The rednecks against the feds, a couple of hundred rednecks shooting at a couple of hundred US Marshals. The battle raged all night, until Kennedy sent the troops in the next morning and saved the feds just as a redneck was driving a Caterpillar up the steps of the Lyceum building, trying to smash in the front doors!

No...wasn't there Fred. Which one were you...a redneck or a Fed?...:)

Were you at Kent State when on...

"May 4, 1970..shortly after noon on that Monday, 13 seconds of rifle fire by contingent of 28 Ohio National Guardsmen left four students dead, one permanently paralyzed, and eight others wounded. Not every student was a demonstration participant or an observer. Some students were walking to and from class. The closest student wounded was 30 yards away from the Guard, while the farthest was nearly 250 yards."

I wan't there either and I'm glad.

What city or town in South Mississippi did you live in?
