Sheriff's Deputy Shot; Suspect Killed

A sheriff's deputy in eastern Arizona is hospitalized in critical condition after being shot while trying to arrest a suspect. The suspect was in turn shot and killed.

The confrontation occurred in the town of Eager around midnight.

Department of Public Safety spokesman Officer Steve Volden says the Apache County sheriff's deputy was shot twice in the head. He was airlifted to a Phoenix hospital.

His name wasn't immediately released.

Volden says the deputy was among several officers who were attempting to arrest 58-year-old William Milton Cooper of Eagar.

Volden says Cooper had been armed with a handgun. He says details of the shooting will be released later at a news conference. DPS was called in to investigating the shooting.

This is stark reality. Don't expect the "authorities" or the news media to tell the truth.

This is bone-chilling.

f he used a gun in any situation except in self defense or to foil a criminal act, then I'm glad they're mopping his insides off of some sidewalk.

What if he was shooting in self defense? Do you really think you will ever hear the straight story. Forget it.

1. Ibrahim Hooper of the Council on American-Islamic Relations said, "There is such a taboo on suicide in Islam, it is completely prohibited in Islam, that we find it inconceivable that somebody would invoke the name of God and then commit some act that is totally opposed to the faith."

This presumes that the hijackers were well-schooled in the totality of Islam. This may be a hypothesis contrary to fact. In short, an imam might LIE to them for his own devious reasons.

2. The video of Palistinians in the streets celebrating news of the attacks was made at around noon according to visible shadows. At the time the video was shot it had to have been near or after sunset in that part of the world. Therefore the video could not have been shot on the day or at the time claimed.

In order for Bill to know this definitively, he would have to know the orientation of the camera relative to true north and do a ton of trigonometry. Let's see the math.

3. Devout Muslims who would be willing to sacrifice themselves for their cause do not frequent bars and do not ever drink alchoholic beverages.

They had the Islamic equivalent of a Crusader's blessing from the Pope: go ahead and sin while the sinning's good, 'cause you're GUAR-AN-TEED a spot in Heaven, me lad!

4. A devout Muslim would not take a copy of his holy book the Quran to a bar and leave it behind when he left after spending an evening drinking, participating in lapdances, and bragging about pending bloodshed to take place the following day. Who is so stupid that they would believe this?

People who KNOW that they are about to die tend to not be perfect examples of normality. People who know that they will die by their own hand are MANY standard deviations away from the norm. That's why I don't believe Vince Foster committed suicide; his behavior PRIOR to turning up dead at Fort Marcy Park was far too normal.

5. Men who have been so careful during 5 years of planning, training, and careful preparations that never allowed even one leak do not brag the night before their mission that they are going to cause violence and bloodshed the following day, using credit cards with their correct names, allowing drivers licenses with photos to be xeroxed, nor do they spread incriminating evidence around like popcorn.

Same issue as above--presumes that suicidal people act in a perfectly normal manner.

6. A devout Muslim on the way to his death would not leave his holy Quran in a parked car. He would take it with him.

What makes you think he only had one? How many Christians do you know who have only ONE copy of the Bible?

7. According to news accounts the perpetrators planned the attack as long ago as 5 years, trained to carry out the attack, pulled it off without a hitch, and no information regarding the attack was ever leaked to anyone.

8. Reference #7. Now someone wants us to believe that these were a bunch of drunken fools who shot pistols in their homes, braggarts, who spoke of impending violence and bloodshed to everyone they met and left incriminating evidence everywhere. We are supposed to believe that by some incredible miracle they escaped the notice of every law enforcement and intelligence agency in the entire world. Now read #7 again.

Cooper has never met people who talk trash. Lots of folks do, because very FEW folks call the police.

9. Why did the hi-jackers force passengers to call relatives?

They didn't. This is an ASSUMPTION on Cooper's part. In reality, the terrorists were in the front end of the plane, aiming at keeping people out of the cockpit. They didn't care about someone using the phone--they knew that there wasn't enough time for a countermove.

10. They were able to hi-jack 4 large commercial jets full of passengers without any problem.

Uh-huh. Because prior to 9/11, "smart" passengers played the odds, which said, "We'll land in someplace we've never heard of, and there will be a ton of negotiations."

11. They were able to deviate from the flight plan and crash into their targets without any effort from law enforcement or the military to stop them.

It takes MANY hours to generate American air defenses (which ARE rather thin at that) from a condition of non-alert to a condition of full readiness. We didn't HAVE many hours.

12. The simultaneous hi-jackings of 4 large commercial jet aircraft did not alert anyone to the possibility of the impending attacks.

False assumption. This was less a matter of people on the ground not knowing there was something wrong so much as it was a case of the hijackers operating within the government's OODA loop.

13. Despite the evidence of wreckage strewn over several miles in Pennsylvania and the testimony of eye witnesses the government still denies that Flt-93 was shot down by an F-16 fighter aircraft that was identified as having flown for many miles alongside and behind the hi-jacked plane. Reference the links to the CNN Transcript and the link F-16 Fighter below:

The wreckage from Flight 93 was in a compact crater. Cooper is guilty of a "hypothesis contrary to fatt."

14. Within an hour of the attacks the FBI knew the names, addresses, flight schools they had attended, the aquaintences of the suspects, and had begun a nationwide roundup... yet they cannot find Chandra Levy nor can they say what happened to Jon Benet Ramsey. Pretty strange don't you think?

If Chandra Levy buys something on credit, then she'll be spotted, no problem.

Once you have a passenger manifest (and when you get on a plane, you are on a manifest), it is ridiculously easy to track you, and backtrack everything you've done over the past few months--it's just a matter of calling up some computer records.

Most of them overstayed their visas, or violated their conditions.

Sorry if that offends you.

Actually, I really don't give a F what offends you.

" But it seems to me that this could lead to the death of an innocent person somehow. It just feels wrong."

It shouldn't. Cooper wasn't a half wit. He refused to pay his income taxes and chased the IRS guy away at gunpoint. He knew what he was getting into, yet he did it anyway. IOW, he wasn't innocent. He knew he was a tax evader and they were going to put him in jail for it (and shooing the IRS guy at gunpoint).

These fools are running on fumes, NAM.

They only took two posts to run out of arguments and start calling us Assholes and Nazi's.

I'm going to go chill out. This is getting tedious.

Semper Fi, buddy.

The gov.org is just warming up. 911 has given them the excuse to rid the country of anyone they deem troublesome. All those swat teams with so little to do. I have a feeling we will hear about a lot more "shootings of armed suspects" while issueing warrents for everything from lieing to the dam revenuers to growing herbs.

The gov.org has run amok and is full of predaters and parasites. We need term limits so we dont have lifers in washington. We also need elction reforms so the little guy can get elected and not just multi millionaires.Maybe if we can get more regular joes in DC things might change.

Since that is not going to happen the only other solution is to quit financing the hoodlums by not paying taxes. And that is not going to happen because the revenuers will lock up or cover up (with 6 feet of dirt) anyone that dares to defy them. Welcome to tyranny in America home of the once free and hopefully soon to be brave again. It will only get worse for us and our children.
