I don't have a fenced-in yard. I take my dog Lucy for walks, but she likes to be outside alot. So I also have a "tie around the tree" rope. If a stranger would walk up to Lucy, she would bark and I know that a stranger would be intimidated. She is protecting her territory. My dog wouldn't hurt a flea. I have sent out many e-mails in support of Mr. Northcut and TJ

My dog (a chow) puts her nose in the air at the first sign of a stranger making their way down the street...literally. And she would scare the daylights out of any stranger who came to our door. She sounds very viscious, and I am glad she does. When a repair man or delivery person asks if she is dangerous I tell them, "only if I want her to be, and then she will start at your kneecaps and work her way up!"
