Just called the mayor's office. Got an answering machine, but left a message anyway.
Keep up the pressure.

E-mailed city's list, and praying for the safe return of Robert's dog. I could almost cry right now at the thought of this story.

"Call Turko at KUSI TV. They love a good fight!!" Naw, send it to FOX News. I did that once, and they immediately picked up on the story. I will send it to them.
To: Don Myers
OK, I just send the article to FOX news along with this web site URL for the entire thread.

A dog that barks? Hmmm. That's odd. The dog and cat gestapo strikes again. I threw the last one that came around here off of my property.
You know, if I lived in this area, they'd be replacing that "no trespassing" sign so often they'd have to make it a budget item.

This is california of all places. If he had been burning the flag, or attempting to burn the flag, the cops would have protected him.
All in all, considering where this took place, he is very fortunate that the cops did not kill him.

All CA Freepers
Keep calling and faxing the mayor's office. Empty the paper in the fax machine(s) and fill the answering machine(s) tapes with messages. If you can get a pager or cell phone number call those also. Please do not become frustrted and stop.

Hard to imagine that the San Diego police, following 9/11, have so little to do that they hassle this guy. He may be eccentric, he may even look a little scary, but what harm has he done? It appears that the residents knew of him, and most probably the police as well. He had rediscovered a mission in life, the protection of two very important symbols. Even though the possibility of attack on these two symbols was remote, what is the harm in letting him stay on guard?
