After days of preparing for vague threats, police departments across the state last night had a tangible menace to chase: A rented van with a cargo of possible bomb-making materials was stopped at a Cambridge mall and sped away before police arrived.

Van was found and check out. Van was used for Hazardous waste removal. It was used by legit company. Thats what I heard on WRKO radio Boston @6:00PM tonight

What kind of hazardous material is at a mall?? Doctor's office? Odd. And I don't think you would rent a truck to do that kind of work. And why a Florida plate? Something is odd here. Oh well, back to the mall to shop and the car dealer to buy yet another car.

Why does a security guard not have enough firepower to disable a van? I live way out in a sparsely populated area of the country. If a Ryder truck pulls up in my driveway and the driver is "olive" and tries to leave without explanation after I ask him "wazz up", he will not be able to drive away.
