Exactly.
The definition of a stupid person is "one who refuses to learn from his mistakes and who is satisfied being ignorant"
The dictionary of "Nate". Anyway, I wouldn't be so proud that I can "carry on" while continuing to piss God off by ignoring Him and never learning from it!
Is that foolish pride of what?!

Oh...it's Monty Python! I'm not into British humor so no wonder I didn't get it! Sorry.... ;o)

I freqently ate Count Chocula and Lucky (Pagan) Charms as a kid. I'll be praying for you. Your just lucky you never ate and Devil Dogs. If you did, I'm not sure my prayers will be enough.

I would have to label ya'll as Religious Fanatics Just like that fruitcake Osama Bin LadenDoesn't like Harry Potter = murders 5,000 innocent people. OK. Must be that "reasoned analysis" arunan was talking about.

Thanks for the corrections. :-) I forgot about Draco being a constellation, too... but yeah, you're right, she does seem to be borrowing from Greek mythology.
Still, he copied & pasted from the website I gave the URL to in another one of my posts (which I suspect is a hoax just like the book Satan's Underground...) without even bothering to check up on the facts.

Any book that encourages a child to read has gotta be good! B.S! ... Books do not encourage children to read - parents and teachers do!
Keep in mind that these proponents of Harry Potter are the same educrats who enthusiasticly first censored, and then purged Mark Twains works from the schools and libraries.

My faith is in the Lord Jesus Christ? And what might your faith be in?
Luke 9:26 For whosoever shall be ashamed of me and of my words, of him shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he shall come in his own glory, and in his Father's, and of the holy angels.

Why don't we let Belial speak for himself? Thanks. Although I think its interesting that you have to namecall someone for pointing out something thats totally true.

If it is not of God, it is of Satan. What is FreeRepublic.com of? Unless Jim Robinson is God...
How about the Honda Accord? Scooby Doo? Beer? Wine? How about AM radio?

O.K. Maybe that wasn't an appropriate comparison, but somebody that believes that a story book is going to destroy Christianity & thinks it's going to turn the whole human race into Witches can't be very damn rational, can they? As far as I'm concerned, it puts them in the Fanatical group of nutcases. Maybe not in the same category as Bin Laden, but to Whacked out to do anybody any good.

A talking dog is DEFINITELY of satanic origin.
And yet he and those meddlin' kids consistently did good. Go figger.

Ever hear any of the "Harry Potter is EVIL!" callers on Agar?No...darn, how could I have missed out on that pleasure?
You know this kind of reminds me of the Disney is putting subliminal messages in it's videos scandal.
There are enough REAL monsters in today's world, more now than ever. Can't kids just enjoy reading Potter for the fantasy and imagination stimulation benefits? Not to mention the benefit of becoming a better reader.
I think so.

For those of you in Rio Linda, "bin liner" = "trash bag." I've heard that the SAS is using the term "Osama bin Liner."
As a kid, I read Casper and Hot Stuff comic books. I even dressed up as a little devil. The only problem was, I messed up and sold my soul to Santa.

Proverbs 22/3 A prudent man foreseeth the evil and hideth himself, but the simple pass on, and are punishedI note that the simple seem to outnumber the prudent today, as always.
Author Rowlings said that she used a Wiccan dictionary to come up with many of her characters. She found the names compelling somehow, I suppose. She has also said that each volume she writes will be "darker" than the previous ones. Think I'll choose to read and walk in the Light.

That's so funny to me. My thirteen year old turned his grandparents, who happen to be 83 and 91, onto the Harry Potter books. Bummer. They were so close to getting into Heaven and their grandkid had to go and condemn them to an eternity in HELL!
