This has nothing to do with the other posts, but every black I met in the U.K. spoke better English than any average American kid. Even recent immigrants I have worked with in the U.S.A. speak better than current American college graduates.
That's because the " gangstsa rap " / socalled " black English " types of language is endemic to no other country than the USA. Also, English , for every child in most schools , has been dumbed down and not taught well for the past 30 odd years here. That is something that I always have fits about. Vocabulary building is no longer mandated ; even in primary level grades , in public shools, and some private schools, nor is reading well written books, by dead white men. Though, to be fair, English schools are no longer what they once were either.
You even see it here on FR ! People write a nonexistant word : " ANYWAYS " , over and over and over again, and don't care. I have seen posters write : " I seen ... " . here as well, and worse.
