They were NOT " slime ", and IF you knew history, and some facts, you just MIGHT have a better idea about what you are talking about. For the most part, the Boers , after THE LONG TREK , settled land that NO ONE even lived on , went through. They turned that into a bountiful, CIVILIZED country,that woud NEVER have been made fertle, ueful, and beauiful without them.

The "natives" moved in after the Christian settlers had started that bounty, and they *benefitted* from their success! I'm so sick of the reverse racism. There wouldn't *be* a South Africa if there were no Christian settlers to steal it from! And there was nothing wrong with separating themselves with people who *acted like animals*! And this is separate from racial issues, but involves *behavior and culture.*

The Boers were between the Zulus and another tribe, at first. The Zulus went to war with them, and so, they went on the historic " LONG TREK " , and settled lands which NO blacks had ever lived on, nor even wandered through often . That is a FACT ! They took unclaimed, unowned, inhospitable, unoccupied land, and made it into a civilized and fertle land ; for the first time in the history of mankind. The racists and ill educated people need to know what the truth is, and stop spewing their " feelings ", instead of factual, easily proved history.

Without the Boer settlers, the territory known as South Africa, would still be a region of disparate peoples waring with each other, owning or being slaves, and in the stone age . Unfortunately, with first Mandela, and now Mbeki and the ANC in charge, it is headig that way ... RAPIDLY !
