I sent the movie "Gladiator" to Camp Bondsteel yesterday and I plan to send a few calling cards for the Chaplin to hand out to the troops, if we can find out the APO's for some of our other troops around the globe. I would gladly send as many as I can. LET ME KNOW

I just sent an email to the Chaplain asking if the guys had to pay for phone calls, to make sure they would like calling cards.
Looks like care packages are zipping through now. Mtngrl@vrwc and 2jedismom sent theirs about a week to ten days ago, I think, and they are already there!

The silk to make the scarves is supposed to arrive Tuesday, all $2400 of it, so I'll be asking for help to hire seamstresses to sew them and for postage to mail them and hopefully for donations to help pay for the silk, too.
Just had bad news from the dentist. They did the root canal and charged me, now they say they can't put a crown on after all. Money down the drain, and I have to go somewhere and get a bridge or one of those teeth that screw into the bone...whatever, it's going to be expensive and my donation days are going to be over for a while.

what you have been sending is exactly what our guys need (videos, candy bars, playing cards, etc.) though and it carries on to the troops that follow us as I give a lot of the stuff (out)....(especially the videos) and they have a sign out list for them so they get all over the place..."
