Thanks Cowgirl, It's good to see there are those that strive for balance. I'm sure it's difficult after the Clinton years of 24/7/365 days of spin. Now to have to give real-time news and reporting the facts as they happen; without their opinions.
It's good to see Isaacson pulling the reigns and setting a standard for news at CNN. I know there are those who would say "just don't read it or turn the channel", but we have to stay tuned, keep those who would join the 4th estate accountable.

Your idea of a one-minute video clip with an eagle is fantastic. Also love the idea of ending with our great President's own words!

I love the idea of a billboard with "WE SUPPORT OUR TROOPS. WE HAVE TIME, WE ARE PATIENT, AND WE WILL BE VICTORIOUS. I believe that these are the definitive words for support of the war by the general public. I am also thinking of making four signs with these statements and displaying them side by side in my front yard.

That makes three of us now with signs in our yard. You know it just might be catching on. :} Are you associated with the news industry, (I would hate to assume by your screen name) and if so in what capacity if you're able to say.

That makes three of us now with signs in our yard. Add me, with a "window sticker" on the back of my car window.
BTTT a good idea!

I am so sick of the negativity I keep hearing in the news, I could just scream! It is time for some positive action!

Maybe those on our FR locale would be interested in doing something. I like the billboard idea, but cost is a factor here.
Did you hear during Rumsfeld pressing briefing the question on injuries, and Rumsfeld had to literally itemize every cut,scratch or broken bone that had been suffered during the raid. What do we want from those who inform us? I feel your frustration also.

Great thread and a good purpose! I know I sound like a worry wart, but I truly think we must keep the pressure on the media or they will turn out to be the undoing of this country.

I guess the next wave is worrywarts, myself included, actually doing something about what worries us.

You got it -- that's the
cure for worry! "Do something about it!" "Ain't" nothin' better!! I actually wrote an op-ed piece for Nashville's paper about the saga of the "pessimistic pundits," and the liberal dirtbags refused to publish it! Actually, they ignored it, and me, which is "liberal rag-speak" for "ain't publishin' it!" When I send in something that doesn't fly in the face of their liberal notions, they call me to verify bio facts and let me know if it's being edited in any way -- then they publish it. When I send in something "conservative," I am suddenly the plague.
What I want to say about them, I cannot. I'd be banned! *G* They are quite skillfully two-faced, to put it nicely! ;-p

Thanks. I've been working on it some, as time permits. Hope to have storyboards done soon. The text at the beginning has changed some, to allow for more time at the end. Anyone who is interested helping to make this happen, please feel free to contact me.

Nope. It hasn't been published anywhere else yet -- so it would be a vanity post. I'm trying to avoid those. If I get someone else to publish it, then I would post it!! (I'm not big on being a self-promoter, except when it's absolutely necessary -- and even then, I'm not at my most comfortable.)
This past week has been a nightmare, but I'll start submitting it again soon. I'll work on an internet publication or two next! ;-}
