Don't worry about them, right-wing Yanks are just trying to erase the fact that they armed and trained the Talibs and bin Laden in the first place. It was classic US imperialist arrogance that saw Stinger missiles end with Gulbuddin "Hezb-I-Islami" Hekmatyer ... missiles the CIA had to buy back at terrorist auctions. Similarly, the US was so taken in by the shifties at the ISI that unwittingly set up smack smuggling routes for Ahmed Shah Massoud. Right-wing Americans whinge about Bosnia and Kosovo now but ignore the fact that Clinton brought relative peace and stability to both nations where Bush Snr's efforts in Afganistan resulted in the Sept 11 attacks.

I attack (and have on record) both right and left for BIN LADEN GATE. Like Dole and McCain but blood is on the hands of Clinton and the orders he signed.

As for peace in Kosovo-the peace of the grave. More have died in Kosovo duroing NATO's "peace" mission then during the shooting war, and go ask FYRO-Macedonia about Clinton's peace dividend. Bosnia is a cesspool of Islamic terror.

The Turkish government had been called uncivilized by the liberals of Europe for not allowing that religion oriented parties run in elections. It was 30 years or so ago that our constitution was ammended to allow political parties gather votes using religion. The religious vote has been hovering around 20%. There being dozens of parties, and the secular right and left fragmented, and while the secular parties were all feuding, one center right party went to bed with the religionist party and formed a coalition government. That's part of what he is talking about.

The rest, I don't know what to make of.

The guardians of secular democracy in Turkey are the 80% that do not vote for religion, and that regional NATO powerhouse, the Turkish Army.

Adios.
