Thank you very much for the update/translation.

Well I watched with horror as the innocents were slaughtered in their Christian House of Worship on Sunday. How soon until a large congregation in US get's attacked commando style? Soon I fear. Please encourage your pastors to develop a self defense plan in case of attack. This is common sense at this point as these bastards want a holy war.
Also anyone else find it encouraging that the Taliban asked the Pakis to go back home because there is no ground war. I think the message is "we have limited food and don't need to cutting into our supplies".
I hope the Taleban enjoys their new 360 day Rumsfeld starvation diet. Die you dogs.

It's called JORDAN.

BE warned: lol
I would not trust any translator, rofl. Once when emailing a German friend of mine, I thought I would suprise him and translate my message to German. In essence my message was short and simple and ending with "I have got to go and eat, as all I have had today was a donut".
My friend could not stop laughing, his email back to me was "Did you really eat a rubber seal for breakfast?"
I have laughed so much over this.
To try to regain some dignity I emailed him back with, "Yes, as a matter of fact they are quite delicious".
Just beware of translators, you may be insulting to the receiving end. I for one would never use one again.

This article is reporting what took place on Sept. 27 of this year, it says so at the end of the first paragraph.

In the gulf war we threatened to use tactical nuclear weapons, if Iraq used weapons of mass destruction of any kind. That threat saved many lives. We better be making the same threats now and they better be credible.
In fact a little demo might be in order. We and our close allies are the only countries that have actually stopped testing nuclear weapons. Everyone else does what they think they can ge away with and just denies it. The intellegence community in every country knows the truth but the public denials keep the political harm to near zero.
In that spirit, let's set off a tactical nuke of say 500 tons in Afaganistan at a barren spot that we control. Everyone will know what it was, but we will deny it. Call it a minor earthquake or something. It will send the right message.

Better to have any Pakie troublemakers in Afghanistan, centrally located...ifyouknowwhatimean.

Interesting...I wonder if Islamic suicide machine-gunners start hitting American congregations, will Bush still say that Islam means peace? I bet we would blame Israel and give the Palestinians everything they want (their own Terrorist State)

And aren't the Jordanians originally from Saudi Arabia?

In March 1999, gun guru Jeff Cooper announced "It was a pleasure for all Orange Gunsite grads to learn that their fellow scholar Prince Abdullah has now become King of Jordan. So far as we know, he is the only reigning monarch to have a ticket from Orange Gunsite. Clearly his country is now in good hands."
(Translation: the current king of Jordan was trained in firearms usage in the USA by the father of modern handgun usage, the very "American" Jeff Cooper. If Cooper says Jordan is thus in good hands, one can be assured it's true.)

The only problem I have with this is that the great majority of us have an agenda. I know speaking for myself that there are certain sources I trust that may be suspect to others, and perhaps understandably so.
That isn't to cast any aspersions on anyone, but simply a reminder that Your Mileage May Vary(tm) in many instances.

"How would the soldiers who made the arrest even determine that it was a radioactive bomb? Did they just happen to have a Geiger counter? It would take a detailed study in a lab to determine this." Gee, how would those sodiers have done something so high tech!
Well, they could have gone on Ebay

The term "dirty nuke" is correct in that the bomb does not use fusion or fision but just spreads the nuclear materials with conventional blast material.

I don't know if this is a new story, something similar was reported by UPI a week or so ago.
They never did provide many details in that article, because they said they didn't want to put their sources at risk.
If Al Qaida were to set one of those bombs off in an Israeli city... that could lead to a huge flare up in the Middle East.

Do you think this radiological bomb is related to Pakistan's arresting the nuclear scientists? That seems to be the standard Muslim game plan, let the terrorists run wild, and then once they've crossed the line, go out and arrest them, and reign them back in. If that's the case Pak didn't arrest the scientists until AFTER they'd built the bomb. Some friend!
