I am coming to belive that this agency has been dumbed down by political correctness and affirmative action.

"At any given time you can change the channel and hear a story opposite to the one you just heard"
Actually, I believe this is the object of the game!!

It's scary. They never tested the residue at OKC but say it was a fertilizer bomb. They bungle every investigation and pin crimes on the innocent without proof.
We have to completely gut the FBI and either clean it out or break it up for good. Their power is too scary and the way they frame innocent people.
I have never understood how come we have the FBI, ATF, NSA, etc. when they all seem to be have the same job description. It's redundancy x 5. And the FBI and CIA seem to be twitching places to boot.

They have one "pattern". The wife of the first man to die rented an apartment to the terrorists. Altogether that apt. was lived in or visited by at least 9 of the terrorists. Again, out of a country of 280-300,000,000 there is no way that could be a coincidence!!!

"These Bozos, seem to think gathering evidence, and gaining more invasive powers, is more important, than protecting US citizens." Except, they aren't really looking for and gathering more evidence. They are trying to blame innocent Americans for the anthrax attacks, without any evidence at all.
Maybe Bush and those high mucky muck politicians don't really know what the FBI is like and what the common person thinks of the FBI. Maybe we should be writing them, telling them. I know the crooked pols probably have the FBI and other government agencies looking out for them but there has to be a few good, honest pols in Washington or we're up a creek without a paddle.

Here is a serious question. IF they arrest and convict a "right-wing" domestic terrorist for these anthrax attacks, will you believe that they were not "framed"?

"Again we still have those here at FR wanting Ashcroft to expend his energy going after Clinton and alleged campaign money from China." "Just how should Ashcroft expend his personnel resources?"
A short time before the 9/11 attacks, I had posted that maybe the reason Bush and the new adminstration hadn't moved to go after the traitors, the clintons and their trolls , yet was because there might have been an external threat that they were having to deal with first from the clintons' weakening our defense forces and making a shambles of foreign policy. Seems I was right.
Right now, we have to still go after the traitors even if bloody bill is out of office, because his witch wife and his trolls are still in the government, still in positions from which they could create more treasonous offenses against Amercians. We are at war now and we certainly don't need to be stabbed in the back by American traitors giving bin laden and iraq more help at this time.

Just think of all the possibilities for gains in efficiency the FBI will have with the extra $200 million they'll get over the next 4 years as a result of the "Patriot Act".

Insight Magazine recently had an article on J. Edgar Hoover. Judging from how hard the left tried to discredit this man it would seem that he was the ONLY FBI chief to care about his country, FIRST AND FOREMOST.

But I did. Did you read my original message before the attack? No. I wrote: I heard on the radio some official claim that it is domestic terrorism (ostensibly a right wing whacko group) because it doesn't fit the Al-Qeda pattern. To which I wrote what pattern? One incident doesn't make a pattern. We have no idea what they have in store for us.

It is frankly amazing. A person reads ONE line of a message, ignores all else and launches an attack. Now she claims I am putting words in her mouth. No, she ignored the words that came from mine. HAHAHA. This is like Kafka's Trial. I resented the assumption by government that this anthrax couldn't Al-Qeda because it doesn;tfit their pattern therefore it must be domestic. I thought that was silly. We only have 911, we haven'tseen enough from them to establish a pattern.Who knows what next they have in store for us.

You are supporting me then. They also have a pattern with anthrax not just bombing. The official I originally quoted said the anthrax must be coming from a right wing whacko because it doesn't fit the Al-Qeda pattern, you are showing the official wrong. It does follow their pattern. Very Good!

"They [the FBI] are trying to blame innocent Americans for the anthrax attacks, without any evidence at all." Don't overreact. Recall that the only source supporting this accusation is an unnamed "government official", as reported by Bob Woodward and published by the Washington Post.
I rather imagine that Bob Woodward and the Post are the ones "trying to blame innocent Americans". The FBI probably knows better...

One incident doesn't make a pattern. Why do you insist that September 11, 2001 was one incident unrelated to any prior events?
Actually, there really was life, terrorist activity against the United States, and history before September 11, 2001.
Many of us were nearly certain on 9-11-01 that bin Laden was the perpetrator that day because of the known 'pattern' of bombings of the USS Cole, the US embassies in Kenya and Tanzania, and the 1993 bombing of the WTC--all of which have established his connections to those events.
To: rebdov
Yes, I agree that it's Islamic terrorists responsible for the anthrax attacks.
