USO Canteen Freeper Style
War has come to our shores. It was committed on American soil. We have been able to live in Freedom only because of those who have fought in the past wars giving life, limb and all the sacrifices for us to live in Freedom and go about our day without fear.
On September 11, 2001, that comfort, that feeling of living in a land that would not be attacked ended.
William T. Sherman said it succinctly, "War is hell."
The day has come for this Nation and its people to understand that there is a risk in losing its freedom, and in reality there always has been. We have ONLY stayed free because of the sacrifices of our military, our warriors.
This is about saving the future of America. Aristotle said, "We make war that we may live in peace."
We are seeing the American Flag flying at homes now more than ever in my lifetime. We are seeing the American Flag flying on vehicles and people wearing Flag pins and small Flags on their clothes. America is united in the cause for Freedom and for our country to WIN against the evil that came upon our land to kill and hurt us. To change our way of life and to destroy America which is US, you and me. To take away our precious Freedom.
This is the Freeper version of the USO Canteen. Where soldiers could come and feel a small part of being at home. It is a place where you that have family in the military can post a thought to a loved one that might be able to read it far away from home. A place where we that support our military can help support them, post to them, fun graphics showing the price in America and our troops. Poems, quotes, cartoons, or articles of how America is behind our troops.
Those in our military are our Nation's warriors. Let us join hands, fly our Flag and let the world know how important our warriors are to us....And that our MILITARY, our Warriors, are America's TRUE HEROS!
"No Marine was ever honored for what they received. Honor was the reward for what they gave." (Anonymous) CHIEF gave his all in many ways. He touched our lives and his friendship meant so much to all of us. He will live in our hearts forever, and his friendship will always be a bright and shining memory in our hearts and souls.

Hey Billie, howzabout making some of those Enduring Freedom logos available at Cafe Press? If JimRob gives the Okay, TRS promises to buy at least 5 Tshirts, 2 coffee mugs and many, many bumper stickers - proceeds to FR.
A pre-Christmas shopping bump!

You made it so easy on me with the OIF link - I just copied yours for the thread instead of going to the main FR page and getting it!

Dateline Pittsburgh (FRP) - The North Allegheny Tiger Pride 5th Quarter 98# and Under First Year team truimphed over arch rival North Side 20-6, bringing home the championship.
Second string nose tackle Evan Daly ran off the field, grinning, saying "We are going to Wendy's!" [Coach Dixon's treat].
The Tiger Pride entered the game with a stellar 8-1 record, with the lone blemish coming in an ugly week two loss to the same North Side Saints, 26-0. North Side also had also entered the game with a single loss (8-6 to Seneca Valley North). That touchdown had been the only score against the Saints all season.
Until today.
The Tiger Pride stuffed the Saints four and out (no punts at this age) on the opening series, and then embarked on a 10 play drive capped by a five yard touchdown run by star halfback Andy Candiello. Assistant coach Stein raved "you just don't see kids this young go on sustained drives. Usually, there is at least one play in there that will screw a drive up. They usually score on long plays".
That was certainly the case as North Side responded by scoring on a 60 yard reverse on third and long on the next possession. The half ended with the score knotted 6-6.
The second half was all Tiger Pride. With the North Side coach trash talking and taunting the North Allegheny offense, saying "no more for you. We've shut out 7 teams. You can't score on us again. You're done!", the Tiger Pride sprung Candiello on a fifty yard saunter to the Saints' 10 yard line on 4th and 7 in a momentum swinging play. Two plays later, he went off tackle right for his second touchdown and the lead.
The Saints coughed up the ball on the next possession, and the Tiger Pride marched 25 yards on 5 plays with quarterback Nick O'Hallaran scooping up a fumble and running for 7 yards and Candiello running a counter-trey for 16. The final two yards came on a hard run over the right guard by Candiello, who was absolutely drilled by the defense as he hit the goal line.
These were legitimate, big time hits. I can't believe how well these little kids play.
The final points came on a run off left tackle by Justin Mancini.
Evan Daly (51 lbs.) said that the win was most satisfying because of the taunting and trash talking by the Saints. "Their center is big (he barely made weight), and when I went in at nose tackle, he laughed at me and it made me mad. I slid off the block to the left and he was like 'he you get back here'".
"He said he was going to kill me, but he never did".
The smile on Evan's dad has remained ever since. "He played like a champion today. They all did."
