Most people have problems with him because he is Pentecostal.

An article I read had problems with him because he said the concept of three separate entities in the Trinity should be 3 separate revelations of one God. Jakes doesn't think there is an actual person sitting at the right hand (side) of the Father.

I think it's a very awkward walk across a tightrope when trying to use literal translation on things in the Bible and get too hung up on them. It's anthropomorphism and it's convenient for making a point (which is what the Bible tries to do).

Sorry I used jargon on my original post #33. I called Jakes a modalist, which means he doesn't support the Trinity -- one of the essentials of the historic Christian faith. Again, take a look at www.equip.org for a more thorough discussion of the matter.
