That's what Chris Matthews has been telling us, and he ought to know, he's a smart guy isn't he?
Has Matthews really been saying that? If so, did he just pull Slippery Rock out of his fat head, or did he cite some source?
On the "smart" scale, I think he is pretty much near the low end. He is able to regurgitate other's rhetoric over and over, but I haven't seen any evidence of any critical thinking on his part.
