Hmmm. I took that scene differently. The Captain and the engineer seemed to treat her like an elitist geek for not eating meat. I thought it was sort of a dig at the PETA types.

I guess thats possible but they make the Vulcans out to be so superior to humans with their logic etc..It just reminded me so much of the leftists thinking they are on a higher moral ground. Just the fact that they put that in there rubbed me the wrong way. I'd like to see her say that to a Klingon!
