Nobody is holding her prisoner in NYC or Washington. I may be wrong but I interpreted her comment as a little self aggrandizing. I have a lot of friends and relatives in and around NYC and Wash. and none of them have been sounding like martyrs. If you think I'm being unfair to the author, I'll accept that but that's how the comment struck me .
