and that's why we're strong: because we get the best and brighest from other countries.

This needs to be repeated over and over again... and then again. We are in the amazing situation to attract the best educated and most entrepreneurial people from all over the world. I only need to have a look around our MBA program (I am an academic) - 40% foreigners from close to 100 countries. Most of them will stay subsequently and contribute to the US. These are the people this country needs, and kicking them out would be plain insanity.

You are clueless! Muslims in general hate us and those from arab countries are rabid. Every time someone who has first hand experience writes a talk show they reaffirm what I learned at Michigan. These people have no history or desire for democracy, separation of church and state, or womens rights. Their view of tolerance is that I let your miserable life go on as long as you serve my interests. Something in the way the men are raised would make W.C. Fields happy as they really do hate small dogs and little children. Wake up, you are fighting the boggie man and he attacked you in your home.

The fact that someone is willing to work and make money here does not in and of itself reaffirm our culture which is first world Judeo-Christian not third world midieval.

Unfortunately, millions of the ones we are attracting are not the best nor the brightest.

But if we don't have more educated people here, then that is the fault of our education system and we need to change it.

All this 'we need these people' makes us sound like a bunch of ignorant, incapable people.

Just because a person has an education and can do a high-tech job does not mean he/she will be a good citizen of this country.
