This won't happen until 250,000 Americans are slaughtered

I don't know if it will take 250,000 but I do know that right now the USA is trying to stay in "business as usual" mode and ignoring the fact that we are the targets of a global war by maniacal fanatics, many of whom are living in our country, visiting here on legal travel visas. I hope it doesn't take 250,000 American deaths to open our eyes to the truth. Sadly, 6,000 deaths seems to have done little to wake us up. I am very depressed about the near future for all Americans. We are not going on the offensive in our own country. The war in Afghanistan is going well. But inside our own country we are (I'm sorry to say) taking a Clinton-like do-nothing love-everyone attitude towards our current perilous situation.

Agree. We need to intern every alien who fits the profile (male, 20-50, citizen of a suspect nation). We also need a moratorium on light aircraft for the duration, and a bunch of other emergency measures which I can't even begin to imagine. Bush should declare a National State of Emergency to establish the appropriate context and mindset we need to round up Saddam's operatives. We won't get any of these things until it is too late, I'm afraid. Or maybe we'll just give Saddam a pass, and hope that he leaves us alone from now on.
