This whole idea is silly. You will have a few hundred thousand people with "sponsors." Then you will need to verify those sponsors. Can you imagine the resulting bureaucracy? This will bog down the law enforcement people. And now is the time for well-focused investigative work, not mass deportations.

Not to mention the tremendous hit to the GDP. And stirring strong racist sentiments. Plus, as I said, there are much better solutions.

A much better approach is to recruit informants in these various cells. Identify those that have pro-violence tendencies, then focus investigative resources there.

If we waste precious resources rounding middle-easterners, 99.8% of whom have zero terrorist sympathies, we're not making US safer. We're wasting resources, and that makes US less safe.
