I do care about those kids..but I care more about mine and my neighbors.....We have more food in a day than they'll get in a week. I don't think we need to worry about our eating enough. And I don't think our feeding them hurts our military effort. It can only help us--we need to reach out to the next generation--let's not let these kids grow up to be terrorists. I read that people want to adopt these orphans, but the UN is discouraging it, saying they should be with their culture. Hmmmmm..... Sounds disgracefully familiar to a lot of legal arguments against black/white adoptions here in the U.S.

The UN wants them with their own culture, but who in their culture will adopt them? Just like here some want black kids with black families, but there aren't enough black families to go around. It's sick that the UN would rather see these kids die in Afghanistan than be adopted by Americans.
