Pakistan is really poorer than the west thinks.-When they where doing their nuke tests to show off to India,well I think they may have used up all their nukes;and the rest are fakes for show. OBL may already be in Paki,but only after Kabul fell. Yes I think he escaped through Kandarhar and across the border into West.Packistan.

I think he will only be traveling with less than 10 men, (very hard to spot), and if he is not already in a safe house in Pakistan, he is in a remote cave in Afghanistan, ready to wait for months to escape if required.

I can see your point regarding the importance of OBL's preserving his image. As such, whatever happens, it must be Allah's will. However, I saw on the thread about Flt 93, among the final night instructions from Atta to the gang was to "shave off excess body hair". Could be that Atta was just a particularly obnoxious fruitcake like the leader of the "Heaven's Gate" bunch or do the Islamists perceive that desperate times call for desperate measures, including shaving.
