What I found really appalling was that
Fox News left a live White House briefing to show the OJ Simpson verdict.
Since when is what OJ Simpson does more important than a live White House briefing during a time of war?

You know, if it wasn't for the incessant torturing by Howard Stern minion Gary Garber, OJ would be totally free.

OJ and Rodney King have a lot in common.

Ya know FOX News is getting tackier every day. I begged my cable company to get them, which was about a yr ago & now I am finding that they bore me with their so-called equal balance---When 90% approve of GW the does that transilate to 50% coverage by each side ??? More examples but you get the picture. BTW this was a ridiculous waist of taxpayers money but it kept OJ off of the golf course where he could REALLY hurt somebody.

I think he could commit ANOTHER double murder and get away with it at this point. It should be legal to hit him one time for each time you see him.
To: OldFriend
It was a stupid prosecution. No reasonable juror could have found him guilty of a felony count of battery simply because he pulled off some glasses. The prosecutor obviously brought the charges against OJ because of his notoriety and not on the facts which never would have justified a felony trial. Face it. If it wasn't OJ, does anyone really believe the perpetrator would have been arrested, let alone prosecuted? The guy is a slime, but the jurors did the right thing.
To: C-Note
You heard it here first. He will kill again& get away w/ it again, too.

Jury nullification strikes again...
I watched a couple of the juror interviews on court TV. Both were middle-aged black women that said they had watched the original OJ verdict but had formed no opinions on the subject!

I do hate to agree with an L.A. Lawyer, but you're right. Dumb case, no evidence, one guy's word against another, big waste of taxpayer money.

Oh, please. This was a trumped up charge from day one. The guy pressed charges because it was O.J. Simpson. Auto burglary? What the hell is that? And the DA pushed it because if was O.J. Simpson. This case should never have gone to court. And it hasn't nothing to do with killing two people.
Is he a slime? Sure. But so are most of the Hollywood types. But taking this little altercation this far was absurd.
To: 1L
Exactly. Although I can understand and empathise with the desire to nail OJ the slimeball, the DA in this case went way overboard with this prosecution. This was a misdemeanor at best.
