Thanks for the kind words. Everyone reading this should know, tomorrow the blood test results will be announced. If they are positive, I will first start a new thread.

But also, this will become a BIG STORY and I will do my best to continue reporting as much first-hand information as I can. (It's a little wierd to think of it: cutaneous anthrax cases in New York City, Palm Beach County Florida, Metro Bal-Wash, and St Marys, PA(?). That would sound very wierd.

If it is not anthrax, those details will be posted here.

You're from this part of the country, aren't you? I recall with fondness your links to the Straub's brewery...

But you're the only guy who has anything to say.

Thanks for your trust. In the words of Dan Rather, I'll do my best to put on a world class newscast.

Damn, quoting Dan Rather is actually a little painful...

Oh, and Zippo Lighters are actually made 45mi north, in Bradford, McKean County. I don't know anything about Dan Conners. Straub Beer makes up for all that: Beer in all its Glory!

One of the major problems with taking antibiotics when they are not needed is that you weaken your immune system and when you really need anti-biotics, they will no longer work. If all these people take them when they're not needed, we could end up with as many dead people as if they don't. They should probably give them one of the other anti-biotics and save the Cipro to use on anyone actually infected.

His opponent sure has a lot of yard signs up everywhere, but I don't know anything about him, really. I'll bet small-town politics is "interesting!"

Straubs... brings back memories of growing up in PA.

An attack in such an out of the way place is scarier than a big city hit to me.

Keep us posted, I hope its false.

Topeka Postal Repair Facility Being Checked for Anthrax (equipment repaired from Trenton, NJ)

At least that Topeka case would make sense. But why St Marys? I'm hoping it's natural, as I get my daily mail from the post office in question here, and I'd like to avoid using a Hazmat suit to find out what's on sale at Wal-Mart.

Anthrax found in Bahamas By ELLEN BECK, UPI Science Writer

WASHINGTON, Oct. 23 (UPI) -- Preliminary tests are positive for anthrax spores on an envelope at the Nassau post office in the Bahamas, officials said Tuesday, but elsewhere internationally reports of suspicious letters turned out to be hoaxes.

Could be Lyme disease, poison ivy, spider bite, mosquito bite.

Let's innoculate all truck and automobile drivers in the US against vehicular accidents.

Waiting for media reports of ANTHAX coming in from Antarctica. That would probably be due to frost bite.
