I agree with you. I am surprised that our govt hasn't pursued the handling of mail as a possible source of contamination. Heck, if you have a letter containing anthrax and throw it in a bin and throw a few over it, it will compress some of the antrax out onto the other letters. Since when is a letter sealed air tight?....
Are you suggesting that the government should have gone to every post office and tested every machine? How about every postal drop box? How about every personal mail box? Every postal worker? Every person served by every postal worker? Every resident of the US? Every one on the planet? The space station?
I'm beginning to think that citizens of this country think they should be protected at all times, at all costs from anything or anyone that might threaten their safety -- the day that happens, you will be either be living in a padded cell, or paying so much in taxes that life will be a well-protected, police-regulated daily grind of barren poverty. I'd rather take my chances, not succumb to panic, be careful and not expect the government to wipe my nose.
