October 22, 2001 -- Jittery parents are taking extra precautions this year to prevent trick-or-treat terrorism from striking close to home - and experts agree this is a year to be especially alert for danger.

Pearl Stewart, a New Jersey mother of two, said she's taking her kids out of town for the holiday.

Does anybody know if the candy in the STORES is any safer than the candy you'd get from your neighbors? I heard something about, it's the wrappers. Maybe it's time for ladies to pick up an apron again. Candy didn't always come only from a store. At least I don't think so.
