That's a long litany of civil war and religious hatred, but where do you get the idea I'm kidding? If the 'Muslims' have so much power, why were their only 10,000 on the streets in the biggest Muslim city in the world?

Ten thousand is a bloody good turn-out. And it looked like most of them were women. "Littany". If you can't see the growing Jihadist Islamicism in Indonesia I'm waisting my bandwith responding to you.

Slow down on the Muslim bashing a little. These radicals (probably lead by common revolutionaries or common criminals) no more represent the majority Muslims than the West Virginia snake handlers or Hatian Voodo priests represent the majority of Christianity.

Slow down yourself. Maybe you want to marginalize the slaughter and persecution of Christians in Indonesia but not me. Moreover your marginalization of the problem is reprehensible and contemptible.

From my latest Zola Newsletter: Muslim leaders in Britian are demanding that Osama bin Laden not be described as an Islamic fundamentalist because they fear this is provoking a racial backlash. The Muslim Council of Britian wants bin Laden to be referred to as merely a terrorist, with no reference made to his faith. Inayat Bunglawala, a spokesman for the council, said, "We will never accept the term Islamic terrorist. Islam does not permit such violence."

Mr. Bunglawala might not know about Koran verse 4:90 -- "Take not, therefore, friends from among them [Jews and Christians], until the emigrate in the way of ALLAH. And if they turn away, then seize them and kill them wherever you find them; and take no friend nor helper from among them."

Koran 9:5 "Slay the idolaters wherever you find them, and take them captives and besiege them and lie in wait for them in every ambush."

But how does a rational person reconcile the fact that it is clearly bin Laden and his followers declaration that they fight for Islam and for Allah! That bin Laden's vision is for the whole world to be ruled by the Muslim religion! Osama bin Laden is not for separation of church and state! The state to bin Laden is Muslim!
