Thanks! I am very impressed! I hope the FBI has checked this out.

I wonder if these students are helping terrorists cross the border by posting "coast is clear" messages.

It's interesting that the National Border Patrol's official 'strategy' involves seventeen paragraphs of description of the purpose of the NBP and (supposed) success stories .... of which two sentences are focused on the securing of our northern border with Canada ('Illegal immigration across the Northern border has been through attempts at ports-of-entry using traditional means, such as false claims to U.S. citizenship, misrepresented purpose for entry, and fraudulent or improper documentation, and through entry without inspection between ports. A plan to address the areas outside the Southwest border is in the final stages of completion and has not been officially approved by INS.') In other words, the US-Canadian border is an open door with well-oiled hinges.

The rest of the NBP fairy tale is replete with references to Janet Reno's 1994 innovative, bold new strategies, and other such leftist garbage.

Even if the NBP (and the Coast Guard and the Customs Service) were operating under rational guidelines, and at full strength, we would still have an insurmountable problem. We are no longer simply dealing with an influx of thousands of people, many of whom want entrance to America simply to enjoy a free ride; nor are we any more simply dealing with illegal drug running. As of 9/11/01 (at least the visibility of the menace hit home then .... the menace has been there a whole lot longer than that), we are dealing with an influx of people whose sole purpose in setting foot on American soil is to scorch it, mercilessly

It's time to stop concerning ourselves with the 'civil rights' or (non-existent) 'Constitutional rights' of anyone who wishes to enter this country, or with the calculated expense of preventing the influx of illegals, or with the feel-good huddled masses yearning to breathe free anachronism. The monetary expense of securing our borders is dwarfed by the costs in safety and national security of continuing to ignore the most insidious threat to the existence of our nation that has ever faced us. Thousands of innocent American men, women and children can no longer lay claim to their civil or Constitutional rights because they were murdered by foreign/alien (excuse the political incorrectness) madmen in the most heinous, senseless act of violence ever perpetrated on American soil.

My apologies to those non-Americans who wish to come to our shore (or sneak across our border) in order to pursue the 'American dream' (or to suck the American taxpayer dry by becoming a ward of the welfare state, or to earn a buck by smuggling in illegal drugs, or to provide the means to carry out an unspeakable encore of 9/11/01 .... take your pick). Those of us who are already here (and some of us whose ancestors have been here for generations) are still reeling from the bloodshed of 9/11/01 (which was, in large part, the result of decades of leftist/'we are the world'/multicultural/hate America domestic and foreign policy indoctrination). We're busy mopping up the blood, channeling the anger, and disabling/destroying (?) the perpetrators. And, until we have achieved what the psychobabblers seek to call closure, and have ourselves assured that we and our fellow Americans are safe from an encore of 9/11/01 (and don't hold your breath in the waiting), our doors need to be locked. American blood is thicker than multicultural 'melting pot' water. And we will do whatever we must to see that not one more drop of that precious commodity is shed.

If we seem anti-social, unbending, and inhospitable, so be it. If it means that the manpower needed to patrol both our northern and southern borders needs to be obtained via conscription, via the use of civilian patrols, or any other viable means of building a human/materiel wall above and below our heartland, so be it. The point is that it needs to be done, and NOW.

As for legal immigration:

According to a story carried by Newsmax a couple of days ago, fourteen Syrian immigrants were granted visas to study at a flight school in Fort Worth. No sneaking across the border here. They were granted the visas because they met all the requirements .... and they did not show up on anybody's 'want list.'

It's time to change, or righteously ignore, existing 'visa requirements.' There is a reason that a person shows up on a want list. And, by the time his face appears there, that reason is irrevocable history (and more havoc has most likely been wreaked on innocent people). Yeah, 'innocent until proven guilty' has a nice ring to it. But when the state of the world has become so perilous as to render that noble concept potentially fatal to multitudes of people, it's time to practice restrained nobility. Let's not cross our fingers (and tie our hands) in the name of civil rights, and possibly allow these fourteen Syrian flight school students to get their pilots' licenses, hijack a plane (or four), murder a few thousand more innocents, and go into hiding. Then, following necessary 'procedure,' and presuming that they are now included in the precious want list, we can begin the long and arduous task of hunting them down. And, while we are hunting them down, we will no doubt be training other 'legal immigrants' whose sole purpose is to perpetrate some atrocity that will grant them want list inclusion as well.

In light of the no-turning-back events of 9/11/01, a little paranoia/isolationism is sometimes a healthy thing ....
