Actually there is an option in between - kill enough of them ruthlessly that they say "guys it ain't worth it anymore." These people aren't more vile or vicious than the Apaches - haven't been many Apache rampages lately. The thing is, to get it on fast and hard, and hit 'em right in the goozle...
