Actually, I work for a farmer organization that shall remain nameless. There is a general disease that can strike a crop that, in certain forms (not the forms that strike the crop I work with), can be very dangerous. We help publish a scientific journal about this crop that has mentioned this disease before. About a year ago, we got very scientifically-written enquiry letters about this disease. It almost read like it was from a research graduate student somewhere. However, we looked at the return address closely and noticed that it was from a prison in Arizona--a prison that has a farm and horticulture classes! We called the prison about it, and they told us that the letter writer was, in fact, known for this type of thing! Also, he was one of the farm workers and they grow this particular crop there! He also takes horticulture classes!
