Correct. I'm a lefty, I slant downward without guide rules. Someone also suggested someone used to writing right to left might do the same. Arabic is written rtl.
Much more important. Arabic letters are formed from bottom to top.
Look at the E in the New York Post letter. Clearly it was formed from bottom to top. No native ever would write an E in that manner.
