Not exactly. The hallmark of a southern accent is the drawing out and insertion of syllables. In Pittsburgh we drop useless ones. The "th" simply vanishes from names like "South Side."

"W'sconsin" has its own unique accent as well. "Milwaukee" is "Mwaukee". A Wisconsin native will say something like "We're goin' up dere to da nort' woods an do a little ice fishin'".
